The BMW R1200C model was first introduced in 1997 and was produced until 2004. This model is a class of cruisers, built on the basis of the current models of the 1100th and 1150th series. BMW R1200C was the company’s attempt to enter the market of classic cruisers and compete with American and Japanese motorcycles.
Nevertheless, the model turned out to be extremely specific and unlike similar motorcycles with a classic layout, and the price was clearly higher than its competitors.
This led to the fact that in 2004 the project was stopped. But representatives of the BMW group promised that they would later return to the creation of a more advanced cruiser with a more promising engine and layout.
The BMW R1200C is a cruiser motorcycle manufactured by BMW Motorrad. From 1997 to 2004, BMW manufactured 40,218 units, including a smaller engine version, the R850C, which was produced from 1997 to 2000. R 850 C R1200 C 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 97 98 99 00 01 02 03 04
